Swallows and Samaras is the most recent acoustic guitar from Fleishman Instruments. The Sonic Sitka Project top is ultra high grade Sitka, the back and sides are Brazilian Rosewood from a table that was originally made in 1954, which I cut into guitar wood about 15 years ago, and which has been making amazing guitars since then. The motif of swallows was inspired by Lalique, the Samaras, or seed pods, echo the passing swallows in flight. The neck is a very fine Port Orford Cedar, and the Fretboard and Bridge are African Blackwood, including sapwood. I believe this the finest guitar I have made to date. It is full, rich, and enveloping, and includes all the ideas I have been researching and experimenting with for the last 20 or so years.
Swallows and Samaras is available and serious enquiries are invited. I hope you enjoy the photographs, taken by Tabitha Mudra in Florida.

This is a small sample of guitars that I have designed and built. Because I am a custom builder, this is necessarily only a small sample of the over 300 instruments that I have made. Click any picture to enlarge. I like to work directly with you as a musician to better understand exactly what you need to make the best music you can. Don't hesitate to contact me with questions, ideas, dreams, or even orders.
More to come; stay tuned for more cool guitars and basses.
